Our FAQs
When should I expect to receive my order? I'm so excited!
Most orders ship within 2-3 business days. When the order ships, you will receive a tracking number for your package. Items should arrive between 5-7 business days after shipping.
Once the package is scanned into the shipping system (USPS or UPS), they are responsible for how long the order will take to arrive. Actual delivery time depends upon the shipping service and Wild Petal Home is not responsible for any delays or failed deliveries of your items.
Of course, we want you to receive your order as quickly as possible! Please reach out to us at support@wildpetalhome.com with any issues with your order delivery.

We can customize labels for special events, such as Girls Trips, Bridal Party, Shower Favors, Graduations, etc.
How do I care for my candles?
ON FIRST BURN When lighting your candle for the first time, burn for 3-4 hours to allow the melt pool to almost reach the edges. This will help prevent tunneling in the future and provide a "melt memory" for the soy wax.
TRIM YOUR WICK Always trim your wick to 1/4" before each use (use scissors or a wick trimmer). This is very important to prevent excess soot and heat.
AS CANDLE BURNS You may see some wax "hang up" on the sides as the candle melts down. This is completely normal and the "hang up" should catch up to the rest of the wax with future burns.
TIME FOR A NEW ONE! Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time and never burn a candle all the way through - discontinue use when there is 1/2-1/4" of wax remaining. You can chill the jar, pop out the remaining wax, then wash jars in hot, soapy water and re-use or recycle.
Do you offer samples?
Yes, indeed! Our sample tealight set lets you try out 1 oz. tins so you can experience Wild Petal Home's scents before choosing a larger candle. Each tealight burns for approximately 3 hours.
My candle has tunneled! What should I do?
Try not to stress! Your candle may have tunneled OR perhaps it just has some wax "hung up" on the side that hasn't melted yet. This is how natural soy wax candles burn sometimes. It should melt and catch up on subsequent burns, as the glass heats up.
If you'd like to help it along, (or if your candle has indeed tunneled), simply create a foil wrap around the sides of the candle. Fold the edges over the top of the candle, leaving a hole in the middle right above the wick. Then, just burn your candle until the wax on the surface melts and levels out. This should generate enough heat to melt the edges more evenly. Unwrap for subsequent burns.
I want to reuse my jar at home. How do I remove unused wax?
Great question! We love that you are reusing your jar! One way to remove unmelted wax is to put it in the freezer for awhile and then use a butter knife or spoon to pop the wax out. Another method is to soak the jar in hot water until wax softens and can be removed and thrown away. Never put wax down your sink drain!
Wash jars in hot, soapy water and reuse as cocktail glasses, tealight holders, jewelry holders, mini-vases, you get the idea.
There's some gray haziness on the inside of the glass after burning my candle. What should I do?
Soy wax doesn't produce black soot, but sometimes a cotton wick does, especially as the candle burns down farther into the jar. In between burnings, simply wipe the edge of the glass with a paper towel to remove any residue. Now you have sparkling glass again! And make sure to trim the wick before lighting!
