MEET THE MAKER

Hello! I'm Angie, the maker behind Wild Petal Home!

While my candle business is relatively new, I've always sought out ways to be creative. As a little girl, I wrote and illustrated little "books", which I sold to my mom for 25 cents apiece. You were more likely to find me painting and crafting than playing with toys. As I grew up, I began preserving flowers and making wreaths, a few of which I gave to my bridesmaids before my wedding to my amazing husband, Andy.

Parenting our two boys had me pulling many rabbits out of my hat each day - parenting is a creative endeavor, for sure! Following that busy and happy time, my years of teaching preschool were a perfect fit for my need to design, structure and nurture.

After a sudden illness required me to pivot from my teaching career, I began this venture as a way to scratch that creative itch during recovery. With assistance from my family, I researched candle-making methods, sourced clean, nontoxic ingredients, built a website, tested many, many candles, and finally launched Wild Petal Home!

Now my husband is my CFO, one son is my marketing/website advisor, one son carries heavy boxes of wax upstairs for me and gives feedback on fragrances, and my rescue pup, Whiskey, keeps me company. I'm so grateful!

HUMAN & PET FRIENDLY?

Anyone who knows me knows I have a huge heart for animals - dogs, cats, bunnies, frogs, fish, and chickens have all found a home with me over the years. But my very best girl is Whiskey, a devoted rescue pup who is my shadow and candle-making “helper”. Why would I ever use toxic ingredients when I pour every candle myself and she is always at my feet?

Crafting clean, family-safe candles is the guiding standard at Wild Petal Home. Designing such candles takes diligent research, and materials certainly cost more, but it’s all worth it.

    We promise to use eco-friendly ingredients for a clean home fragrance experience, which means we make candles with natural soy wax, a clean burning, plant-based & renewable resource. Produced in the USA.

    Carefully curated & hand-blended, our premium fragrance oils are held to the highest standard of quality & safety. Our candles are made without parabens, phthalates, carcinogens, prop 65 chemicals, or toxins.

  • COTTON WICKS

    Continuing our promise of eco-friendly and sustainable ingredients, our wicks are made of all-natural, ring-spun cotton. The gentle flicker of our cotton wicks fills your room with a warm glow. Lead free. Crafted in the USA.
