Candle Care
Wild Petal Tip: The first time you light our candles, burn them long enough that the melted wax pool reaches close to the edges of the jar. Soy candles have a "melt memory" so the first burn is very important. (Do not exceed 4 hours).
Do not burn candles more than 4 hours at one time. Between 2-4 hours is best.
Before EACH lighting, trim the wick to 1/4". This will enhance the performance of your candle. Built-up carbon can cause wick mushrooming and excess soot.
When only 1/2" of wax remains, please repurpose or recycle the candle jar. Letting wax burn all the way down may cause dangerous overheating of the vessel.
Read and follow all instructions on the sticker found underneath the candle.
Keep candles away from children and pets. Always supervise lit candles. Keep lit candles away from flammable items. NEVER extinguish a candle with water.
After the first few burns, you may notice wax remaining on a side of the glass. That wax should melt down with subsequent burns, as the glass gets hotter. This is completely normal for soy candles.
If soot forms on the inside of the vessel, extinguish the candle, wait for it to cool, and wipe the glass with a clean damp cloth. Trim the wick and relight.
Each Wild Petal candle and room spray product is handmade by me. Due to their handcrafted nature, there may be tiny imperfections that will not affect the performance of the candle or room spray.

WICK TRIMMER
A wick trimmer is ideal for keeping your candle burning beautifully! An untrimmed wick will cause a candle to have a larger flame, burn faster, and emit more soot. To prevent this, it’s important to keep the wick trimmed to a length of 1/4" prior to each lighting.
Available in Rose Gold or Matte Black.
