Holiday Cream Cheese Cranberry Dip Ingredients:
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup fresh cranberries
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon orange juice (freshly squeezed)
1 teaspoon orange zest
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional, for added crunch)
Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs (for garnish, optional)
Directions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a small baking dish or pie dish.
Prepare the Cranberry Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the fresh cranberries, sugar, orange juice, orange zest, and cinnamon. Stir well and set aside for a few minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Assemble the Dip: Spread the softened cream cheese evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Spoon the cranberry mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer. Sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts on top, if desired.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the cream cheese is warm and the cranberries are soft and bubbly.
Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh rosemary or thyme if desired. Serve warm with crackers, toasted baguette slices, or pita chips.
