Celebrating Cozy Season

September. The ninth month of the year has a lot going for it. The days get shorter and cooler, kids go back to school, and the emphasis shifts from summertime outings to Fall nesting. As much as I love summer sunshine, Autumn brings its own treasures and traditions, and I'm happy it's here.

Autumn is all about celebrating cozy season. Who's with me? Chunky knit sweaters, warm blankets, mugs of hot cider, fresh baked pies, and snuggly nights by the fire. When the air gets crisp and leaves crunch underfoot, it's time to cozy up the home and settle in! Warm and welcoming seasonal fragrances are a surefire way to get started.

The first step in designing the Cozy Fall Candle Collection was ordering a crazy amount of enticing Fall scents and then asking questions. Does this scent make me think of happy moments? Do I have a variety so everyone will find one they love? I finally settled on six scents to capture the essence of the season: a grouping of gourmand, woodsy, fruity and fun boozy fragrances. Warm notes of clove, vanilla, coffee beans, cypress, apples, and of course, pumpkin spice abound, ready to bring some serious autumnal goodness.

The next fun avenue I walked down was searching for the right candle jars. Oh boy, am I happy with the ones I found! Colorful artisan glass in a shiny finish, with round bottoms and a classy look. These beauties sit pretty on any coffee table, shelf or counter as part of your Fall decor, and make luxurious gifts! I can't choose which color is my favorite: Amber, Ginger, Toffee, Sage or Latte?

Choosing candle names is my very favorite part of the creative process! It just ties everything together. With the title Falling Leaves, I hope to evoke the earthy and crisp tang of a forest walk among crispy maple leaves. Farmhouse Cider brings to mind the comforting embrace of fresh apples and cinnamon, and Boozy Butterscotch conjures dreams of sweet homemade confections. To me, Pumpkin Souffle evokes cozy memories of cherished Autumn gatherings with family. Espresso Bar conjures up the idea of savoring a swift espresso shot amidst the bustle of shopping at a beloved Seattle department store. Brandied Pear kindles memories of festive holiday desserts.
